The Way It Used To Be – Mid-Ohio

This is beautiful. Its the oldest known footage from the Mid Ohio racetrack and it’s nearly perfect. The track looks brand new and the paddock is full of some of the most beautiful cars we’ve ever seen. Not just the race cars but the spectator’s cars too. And on track? Cobras, Corvettes, a Ferrari 250 GTO! There really isn’t much to say. I would have loved to have driven one of those cars that afternoon. Watching this video is about as close as one can get to living that dream.
These are the days I think of when I’m racing. Sure Im in a modern BMW and it has a roof, but you can still imagine what it must have been like for these guys back in the day.
