Goodwood Revival is the vintage race of all vintage races. The track is beautiful. Immaculate and perfect in every way. The cars are so beautiful you wonder if the owners should really be racing them. This is the Fordwater trophy race for production sports and GT cars of a type that raced between 1948 and 1954. This includes cars like the Jaguar XK120, the Frazer Nash High Speed, Healey Silverstone, Porsche 356, Ferrari 212 and Lancia Aurelia B20 GT.
The Fordwater Trophy featured an 28-car field including an Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS Zagato, AC Buckland, MG TC, a Connaught L2, a Fiat 8V, a Ferrari 225 Export Coupe, a Lotus Mk6 and a Morgan 4/4 Le Mans! The field also featured two prominent journalists – Chris Harris of video fame and Sam Smith of Road & Track. This is Sam in car #19 drifting sideways into the braking zone and looking awesome!
Chris Harris was also getting after it, driving a tiny Porsche and both Sam and Chris started on the front row. The race was pretty awesome but I won’t show you anymore as I don’t want to ruin the video. Take a look for yourself. Here’s the full race provided by Goodwood.
