Most crash tests top out at highway speeds. It’s the max you’re allowed to drive so why test higher? Because speed kills exponentially. The faster you go the more likely you are to die in a crash. Get your car up to 120mph and find a solid object and you WILL die. Every time.
A few year back, 5th Gear performed their own test with a Ford Focus. They got it up to 120MPH and hit a solid concrete wall. 58 milliseconds and 400 g of force later the car was ruined. Flattened to the car’s B pillar. Take a look for yourself:
