Ever wanted to build your own car? Sell it to the public? Not a chance unless you have a billion dollars tucked away someplace. Until now. A new Transportation Bill is about to go into effect that allows you to sell limited production cars.
You can’t build more than 325 vehicles a year but as long as they are “properly-licensed”, or otherwise legally approved designs based on models that are at least 25 years old. You also can’t build more than 5,000 cars a year so that manufacturer’s can’t use this loophole. But we can!
The only issue is that the car must past emissions. But there are a few EPA legal engine swaps out there so how hard can that be?
I originally found the story here but there’s no link to the original bill. They do say they expect it to be in effect by the end of the year.
