What is this?

Screen Shot 2015-12-21 at 12.53.31 PMI’ve seen all sorts of stuff handed to drivers when they win a race. There are the standard racing trophies, but they also get handed all sort of unusual things like milk at Indy, stacks of hats, wreaths, and bizarre sponsor products, but I can’t seem to figure this one out. It’s like someone forgot the wreath or something and wrapped a motorcycle tire in aluminum foil. I can see the guys friend’s now.

“So what did you win today?”

“I’m not sure, but someone gave me this circle of tin foil?

I found it while watching BMW’s new movie on the E30 M3. Apparently someone won it during a touring car race. Screen Shot 2015-12-21 at 12.53.18 PM
