SEO or Search Engine Optimization:
At the bottom of the text box where you compose your articles there is a box titled “WordPress SEO by Yoast”
In order to ensure that each article is given the best chance to be shown in google searches, we want to make sure the SEO score is the best possible. An example can be seen in the image below:
This was an article for KB’s 2015 schedule of events, as you see the title has Ken Block, we used Block as the key word as it was listed in the article 6 times (content)
If everything looks good, you will see a yellow or green dot next to the SEO score in the publish box in the upper right hand corner of the page. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try and do your best to keep your scores OK – Yellow or Good – Green.
If you can not get an article to be OK and its Poor – Orange, its not the end of the world.. but ideally we want Yellow and Green only.
