William (Bill) had always wanted to be a rally driver since he was a kid. Having a father who worked for Peugeot North America while being raised had some major influence. Now that Bill has been rallying since 2009, he continues to compete when he is able and and the budget allows.
Bill is the proud owner of Broken Motorsports, opening its doors in 2008, Broken Motorsports was created to serve mostly Subaru vehicles. Today Broken Motorsports has evolved into a rally powerhouse and other race cars, building the most rally cars on the east coast and possibly the country. Broken Motorsports has introduced dozens of new teams to rally since they started racing in 2009 and strive to get new competitors on stage! Broken Motorsports does everything in house these days with custom roll cage and chassis fabrication, and engine building to basic maintenance and bolt-on upgrades. However, not just for Subaru’s anymore! They also do performance stuff for Nissan, BMW, Ford and Porsche!
Bill has been working for rallies as a volunteer since 2001 STPR and working as crew for teams since 2002. He driving career began in 2002 with SCCA Rallycross, he then entered his first stage rally event , the 2009 Rally New York USA tarmac event ,in a 2002 WRX PGT car that Broken Motorsports built. Unfortuntaly during the last event of the year he had a major off that destroyed the car after rolling 5 times at 90mph. In 2010 Bill started at the same event, but with in classic impreza sedan and some minor upgrades, this was his 2nd event of 3 and ended up making the overall podium overall. In 2011 season Bill made the switch to FWD and a new 2011 Ford Fiesta. Debuted NEFR regional events putting it on the podium the second day in Group 2. 2012 Bill decided to concentrate a bit more in supporting our other rally customers instead of him playing, and sat out the entire season. 2013 came and so did another car! The current RWD 240sx was built and run at ESPR for the first time. 2014 has had some great success so far and am running the same car for more than a year for a change. ESPR was the first event on the calendar. Then lots of drifting with ClubLoose here in NJ. First round of USDrift was entered and was out early due to a oil pump failure. Had to get the car all sorted for the hill climb and decided to use another stock SR20det full drivetrain and motor.
